RocketSlide Directing and Comedy Capabilities Reel.
I produced and directed these fun spots for the amazing team at Launch for Mitsubishi. It was such a fun project and we were able to crank this series of spots out in a single day on location safely with covid protocols in place. The talent on this really brought these spots to life!
Here's a fun co brand spot I shot and directed for Geico and the SAG Awards Show on TBS.
My gaffer and I used as much natural light as possible on this to make the spot feel clean and elegant. The talent was stellar as well and the spot turned out great.
I directed and shot these two Warcraft custom Branded Spots for Universal and [adult swim] with my directing partner at authority films Jonathan Rej. I shoot, and he cuts when we team up and we've done some incredible work together over the years. These two spots were shot anamorphic with vintage "Tohoscope" Kowa Anamorphic lenses. We also had the SFX team from a little show that I can't mention but rhymes with "Tangier Schmings" out to fill the woods with atmosphere. We're definitely stoked on how great these turned out.
This was a fun spot promoting Conan O'Brien at COMICON for Snickers and TBS. The challenge was filling a convention center with people on a tight budget. It was fun strategically placing background extras to fill every shot. Wardrobe and costuming were on point. I love doing this type of spot!
This is a fun little spot I did for my friends at Cartoon Network and Mattel for the new Batman Vs. Superman Epic Strike Batmobile toy. The kid talent in this really made the spot! Thanks to Riley McKenzie and Donielle Hansley and their killer VO and Sound FX for making this one rock!

I directed and shot this spot for my friend Ashley at Awesome Incorporated. It was a challenging but fun project using translucent set walls and tons of DMX controlled Arri Skypanels. I love directing but playing with lighting is so damn fun.
I shot produced finished and codirected this CSR TV spot with Chris Bailey via Moxie for BB&T. I also enlisted the help of my good friends at Tiny Lion to compose custom music for this one. Those guys slayed it on their emo version of “This Little Light”. Shortly after this some huge campaigns were using that song in their corporate social responsibility spots. They say imitation...
Shot produced and directed this 30 TV Spot for Moxie and Verizon fios.
This video I directed and shot for Moxie won a Digiday award for Best Social Good Campaign in 2016. It was up against some heavy hitters and won which was humbling. It stars some pretty great kids and one you might recognize. It's always fun to do work that helps people.
I directed shot and produced this spot for Mattel through CN's internal agency. This was the maiden voyage spot for the new studio at RocketSlide Films!
This is a spinoff web testimonial that I directed shot and produced for my friends at Moxie Interactive for Amdro based on the "When bugs drive you crazy..." TV campaign. It was a fun project to be a part of and the actors cast out of Atlanta were great! These short pieces are part of a larger interactive video on the Amdro website and are used as banner ads across the web. Enjoy!
Putting the camera in the reticle was the mission on this first person shooter live action spot. It was a challenge to build a camera rig that would allow the shooter to aim down the sights through the lens of the camera. We made it happen. We also used live ammo filming this spot so production was incredibly buttoned up and professional.
This is an oldie but goodie that I co directed with Jonny Rej for Sun Drop. This was done during the short time where we were still shooting film and mastering in HD. This one was shot on Super 16mm.
I launched my production company under the name RocketSlide Films doing this "Madmen in Space" - "Moonraker esque" throwback spot for AXE. We used an amazing set that was originally constructed for the film Space Cowboys and was as close in detail to the real shuttle flight deck as we could get. We scouted Space Camp, Houston and Seattle Museum of Flight before settling on this set and shooting out in LA. We also constructed a one off 1/ 48th scale model shuttle for the opening and end graphics page and picked that up back in ATL. I mean we could have done it in CG but what fun would that have been! The liquid in zero G we photographed clear water over black at 2000fps on Weisscam and comped it back in to the frame giving a way more realistic looking space liquid. One day we will all fly around in pimped out shuttles. Can’t wait!
I had the honor of directing and shooting this hilarious open for the 21st Annual Webby Awards with my homies at Mondial Creative in VA for Crispin Porter Bogusky. It was a blast shooting this thing on a long overnight “lock in style” at a suburban VA skate rink. This thing turned out perfectly strange.
